The Institute specialises in the training of people in various business related professions with special emphasis on Shipping, Cargo Handling, Port Operations, Clearing and Forwarding, Export and Import, Stevedoring and Business Administration.
The institute's main focus on the training of students is in MARITIME MANAGEMENT. A quick review of world afairs, will reveal that, most prosperous countries depend on maritime management which depends on export and shipping with the aid of logistics management.
Apart from that, it trains, develops, promotes and encourages students through special exports marketing techniques to embark on self employment projects.
Another concern of the Institute is to expose students to the techniques of obtaining small scale loans through the National Board for Small Scale Industries and other financial Institutions to promote the numerous non-traditional exports in the country to enhance private exterprise.
